Radiating Sunshine: About Me

About Me

Hi! I'm Alex. I'm just your average twenty somethin' college Grad student/SA Pro/ blogger. I was a psychology major and I fell head over heals for positive psychology... hence Radiating Sunshine! I started this lifestyle blog back in 2012 to document my adventures throughout college. I've learned that living positively does wonders for your life. Smiling is truly the best medicine and living life on the bright side of things makes life worth living.

I try to "celebrate everyday moments." And I often find beauty in the little things. God abundantly has and continues to bless my life. I love to get lost in a good book and I'm a quote fanatic. My life is run by many to do lists and to de-stress I like to take bubble baths, cook, and bake... but, more importantly I like to eat the batter or the dough.

I love this baby blog of mine and I'm beyond happy that you're spending a moment of your day here. I blog about almost everything... from college/adult life to things I want to accomplish. I work in Residence Life and I'm live on a college campus and enjoy my time as a Residence Director. A few summers ago I studied abroad in Austria, which was a chance of a lifetime and totally changed me.

My favorite bible verse is she is clothed with strength and dignity and she laughs without fear of the future Proverbs 31:25. I feel like the verse describes what type of woman I hope to become one day. I am also becoming a bible study goer and have been learning so much about this famous book people have been talking about for millenniums. Another good verse that I recently read and that totally warms my little soul is He has also set eternity in the human heart, yet no one can fathom what God has done from beginning to end Ecclesiastes 3:11.

Another huge part of my life is this guy above. If you are looking for a blog that talks about a wonderful man who I just happened to meet on a random Friday in December 2013 than please follow along. Josh is featured in almost every post I write (intentionally or unintentionally) and I love sharing our little adventures.

My perfect day would be one where I can feel the warmth of the sun, the breeze through my hair, laugh until my stomach hurts, and spend time with the people I love. Want to know more about me, click here!

"i hope you're happy"

So, basically I love life. I love being positive. I love Student Affairs. I love smiling.
I love being me and I would love to get to know you :)

    1. Thanks, Gen! And that picture was kind of an accident haha, I'm thankful my friend had the thought to take a picture as I was rescuing some balloons and tying them to a bench.

  6. I just stumbled on your blog from a comment you left elsewhere about the Student Affairs realm. I have worked in Student Affairs for more than 10 years now, and my home was in Res Life! It is a really great profession!
