Life Lately

So, like usual I have been loving life recently! I have just been able to do so many incredible things and I can't help but, feel beyond blessed. My classes are going well. I am slowly planning out my future. I have been taking care of my health and have been really active. And beyond all else I have just felt this immense joy for life and I am just so thankful for everything I have.

So, what have I been doing?

Dating my boyfriend! I feel like sometimes couples just get into this "hanging out" stage of relationships where it is cheaper and more convenient to just hang out in their room and watch movies. Well, not Josh and I! We have gone dancing, to a play, out to dinner, etc! Last week, Josh picked me up and we went to a local pub and had burgers and my absolute favorite side: french fries with gravy! It was so nice sharing something that I have loved since I was little with him and just a disclaimer: if you have never had french fries with gravy then, please go get some now!

We've also did a 5k two weekends ago! It was a fundraiser for my university's Relay for Life and we had a blast. We didn't run together which, was totally okay by me! But, we both know how long it takes for us to run a 5k and now we can train and see where we can improve.

This past Friday I went to a conference in Baltimore! The conference was for student affairs professionals and those interested in pursuing a career in Higher Education. I got the special privilege of being on the planning committee so, I got a lot of really good experience and got to connect with maybe some future co-workers!

Had to send this to Josh... but, quick outfit post: I'm actually wearing a black dress and my
MCPA Polo over top!
And this past Saturday morning, 5am approached earl but, for an excellent reason! I drove down to Baltimore with some of my RA friends and we ran out The Color Run! Just saying, but they should change that to The Color Walk because we probably ran an additional mile by just weaving through all of the walkers. It was a great time and one thing I learned is that smiling while running through the paint dust is not the best thing to do *mouth full of dust*!

So, that is just a little recap of where I have been lately. Life as always has been grand and I feel so blessed for all of the cool opportunities I have gotten to do! What have you been up too?

ModaVoxBox

I really enjoyed this Influenster Voxbox! It was full of products and brands I really haven't tried so I loved testing things out and learning about new products. And I couldn't try these awesome products and not share them with all of you so, prepare yourselves for the ModaVoxBox reveal.

Products:

*Puffs SoftPack*
*Hair Food Moisture Hair Mask*
Swiss Miss Simply Cocoa
*Jergens Ultra Healing Extra Dry Skin Moisturizer*
Resource Spring Water
*Rimmel London Scandeleyes Rockin' Curves Mascara*
Rimmel London Moisture Renew Lipstock
Rimmel London Moisture Renew Lip Liner

*products I will definitely buy*

Hair Food by Clairol sold at Target!
This is probably one of my favorite products in the entire box!
When they said hair moisturizer they meant moisturizer to the max. They forgot to mention
that this hair mask smells so good. I'm obsessed with using this and I have to limit myself
to using it once a week because I want the hair mask to be a special treat.

The Scandaleyes Mascara was probably my second favorite product in the VoxBox.
This mascara definitely defined new lashes and I love using it. I actually might
buy this mascara more often because it works so well.

The third product in this VoxBox is definitely one that I am adopting into my
daily routine. The Jergens Ultra Healing Extra Dry Skin Moisturizer has
been doing wonders for my hands! I use it every night before I go to bed and
I absolutely love it! It smells so refreshing and has been helping my hands stay
soft and stop cracking. I literally have the driest hands during the cold winter seasons
so, I really need a good product to keep my hands safe from the harsh dry and cold conditions.

I am a huge advocate for drinking water! I am almost always walking around
with one of my tumblers full of water. I haven't tried the Resource Spring Water yet,
partly because I'm saving it for a time when I need a water bottle and partly because I like
to savor the products I receive from Influenster. But, I'll give it a try soon I promise!

And the last product I'm going to review today is the Puffs SoftPack tissues! This is literally
the cutest packaging and is perfect for on the go tissue use. I'm actually thinking I may put the
softpack in my car so I can use it whenever I need them and they will fit in the console perfectly.

Anyways, that is all for now! I have absolutely loved the products I have tired out and
I can't wait until the next voxbox comes in.
These products were complimentary of Influenster and all opinions are my own.

Gotta {Shave} that Time & Money

As a college student, I am constantly on the go! Whether I am heading to work or leaving class, there always is something to do or someone to see. Now, I would be totally lying if I said I didn't like this on-the-go lifestyle. I love having a busy day and being able to go to sleep knowing I was productive. However, a side effect to having a busy day is stress, and if you're a person who holds a negative view on stress than that could be potentially very harmful to your life.

But, no need to worry! Today I'm writing a post inspired by the Dollar Shave Club to bring you some easy ways to {Shave} Time and Money!

Tips & Tricks:

Shaving Money

one... buy things that you need. I know this seems like a no-brainer, but with the holidays just around the corner, save some extra dollars by buying things that you need/are truly beneficial. I am definitely someone who walks around the store until I find something I "need" because it's really cute... But by acknowledging I do this and sticking to my list, I am able to {shave} money!

two... and on the related note of going into a store... walk in knowing your price cap. Shopping on a budget is a really easy was to {shave} money, but remember you will sometimes have to say no to an item you really want, and that can be hard.

three... look for subscriptions/ coupons! I am a coupon fiend, and I love finding services like Dollar Shave Club which can offer you ways to save without even realizing it. Plus, you can get the opportunity to learn so much about products and different products you like in this way.

Shaving Time

one... plan ahead. Whether that means packing your lunch the night before or writing a detailed schedule on Sunday night to know what you have to do that week, planning ahead can truly help you {shave} time.

two... and once you have planned ahead you also want to stick to your goals and remove any distractions that can waste your time. But, while remembering that even though it is so important to get done your work and any projects coming up, you must also take care of yourself in the process.

How About Shaving In General:

Now shaving might not be a major priority for you... I know that winter is coming so the time of the leg gins, tights, and pants are officially here, but shaving doesn't have to be an inconvenient activity that can be pricey anymore! Dollar Shave Club provides subscription services for $1, $6, or $9 a month and will send you a razor of your choice with a quality blade that will change the way you view shaving forever.

Dating a Steelers Fan

Just a little reminder to sign up for Meg and my "Let's Be
Thankful Swap" on this link! For more details click here :)

Now that we are in the month of November it is time to really express how thankful and grateful we are to the people in our lives (even though we should always express how grateful we are). I've been so blessed to be surrounded and supported by the greatest people in my life. One of these people, often goes above and beyond when it comes to making me feel beautiful and special. He seriously brings out the best in me which, is a little surprising because as a Ravens fan I always thought that Steelers fans were total jerks.

Anyways, even though 85% of his wardrobe is Steelers apparel and he wears this stuff almost all the time. I am endlessly grateful that I have found such a kind and caring man, who loves to watch and play football. We may not agree on what teams to cheer for... but, we genuinely have such a nice time watching the games and the rivalry between our two teams has made our Fall quite interesting.
Driving to school at 7am after the Steelers vs. Ravens Game! I promise he isn't sleeping!

What I mean by interesting is that Josh and I had a little arrangement when our teams battled it out on the football field. So, every time our teams would play each other whoever's team lost would have to wear the other's team's apparel. So, the first time around I got Josh to wear a Superbowl XLVII Champs Ravens t-shirt all day! He got so many compliments and he looked so good (although I think it killed him wearing it). However, what goes around comes around so this past week I had to wear a Steelers jersey because we lost to the Steelers on Sunday night.

Let me just say I don't think I have ever had so many photos taken of me in my entire life. Josh was seriously smitten over the idea that I was wearing his old Steelers jersey. And honestly, although a lot of people gave me crap it was really nice knowing that he was so overjoyed by the fact that I was rocking black and gold. He swears that I'll become a Steelers fan one day.

But, for now I'm going to continue to cover up his Steelers logos and we're going to continue to give each other a playful hard time for what's going on in our teams' football worlds. I have to say even though he is a Steelers fan, I definitely prefer that than him not caring about football at all!

10 Blogging Confessions

Whenever Josh and I are talking and I have something serious to say I usually start out by saying "I have a confession..." This used to make him nervous because he thought I was going to say something totally terrible but, I have now conditioned him to not be scared of that phrase. Anyways, today on the blog I'm sharing all of you some blogefessions that I have been feeling for sometime now!

one. Sometimes blogging is a chore. I love to write but, recently it has taken so much for me to be motivated. However, now that three of my graduate school apps are submitted I can finally relax (a little) and get back to enjoying blogging.

two. I draft like no other... this post alone has taken me days to write. Sometimes I'll write a post and then not publish it until two or three weeks later... when its not relevant and super random #reallifeblogger

three. I take almost all of the pictures you see on this blog with my iPhone! I have a nice camera and when I got the camera for Christmas I was so excited to enhance my picture quality... but, that would involve me actually getting the camera out (on a regular basis), then lugging it around with me (attempting not to break it), and then sitting down and editing the pictures and posting them. I already have enough trouble getting posts up in a timely fashion (see no. 2) so, for now I'm going the iPhone pic life.

four. I read mommy blogs on the reg... which, is probably weird considering I am a twenty-one year old non-married college student. Anyways, I love reading about pregnancy, parenting, and everything in between.

five. Related to no. 4 I can't wait to blog about married life and everything in that category (when I get married) For all of my married blog-friends you guys always give the best advice (I think) and you make married life look wonderful and real all at once!

six. I designed this blog all by myself... which, is a pretty big accomplishment for me. I literally know next to nothing about html coding and I don't have any fancy photoshop software so, everything you see here is the product of downloaded fonts, word, and screen shots! Maybe one day I'll pay someone who is super fancy and awesome to give my blog a facelift but, for now Radiating Sunshine will live the simple life.

seven. I rarely sit down and actually proof read my posts before I publish them. I know this is something that should be so simple but, I just don't do it. Even with some college papers I struggle with proof-reading! I guess that's why I ended up finding myself a writing-tutor-grammar-police boyfriend to help me out in that department.

eight. On another 'rarely' note: I rarely actually plan out blogposts. I know a lot of bloggers will schedule what is going to be happening on their blog but, quite frankly at this time in my life I just don't have time to plan anything other than the "weekend recaps" which, are pretty much always up on Monday or Tuesdays of every week.

nine. I have serious blog crushes... seriously though some of the blogs I read inspire me to hopefully blog as well as they do when I begin adult life. One of my favorite blogs that I have been crushing on for literally forever is Living in Yellow > Erin seriously knows what she is doing and her posts are always so funny and enjoyable to read.

ten. I dream of my future office/blog space quite regularly. I can picture the white desk, with cute Radiating Sunshine logos, coffee mugs, and a nice agenda book with blog posts that are actually scheduled. I know I'm about 5 years away from that kind of life but, I can't wait for it to get here!

Anyways, that is all of the blogefessions that I have currently
hope whatever day I'm actually posting this is beautiful for you!

Weekend Recap 11/3/14

Another weekend has come and gone and I am currently writing this post from Josh's couch (new blogging spot) haha. Anyways, this past hallo-weekend was fantastic.

Friday:

After work I did some homework and then waited for Josh to get home from his run. We then left for his cousin's with his brother and one of my RA friends. We had to drive about an hour-hour and a half to his cousin's and on the way we stopped at Chick-fil-A which is pretty much the best on the go food! His cousin was having a bonfire and it was really nice getting to hang out with him and enjoy a warm fire on a cold Friday night.

Saturday:

Josh picked me up around 4pm and we went to church! After church we came home (to his house) and made pizza and carved our pumpkin. Josh was the main designer of the pumpkin and he carved our initials with some hearts around them.

For Halloween this year we were Daisy and Gatsby from The Great Gatsby. Honestly, as I explained in a past post I'm not really into the whole Halloween thing, so I'm really glad Josh and my halloween costumes turned out so well. A little back story to Josh's outfit > he borrowed the suit from his dad who wore it over twenty years ago. So, he was rocking a navy blue pin stripe vintage suit and literally looked beyond dashing... But, I am probably so biased seeing as he is my boyfriend and I love all things navy blue.

The Halloween party we went to was such a blast! All of my good friends were there and it was nice being able to spend time with Josh and them. We got to watch a little bit of football, jam to some great music, and catch up with everyone.

"He looked at her the way all women want to
be looked at by a man" - F. Scott Fitzgerald

Mr. Gatsby!
Sunday:
After doing homework all morning/afternoon I met back up with Josh and his parents for Josh's Delta Mu Delta Induction and Dinner. It was so nice seeing him dressed up two days in a row. The dinner was okay... you know the typical induction buffet dinner that consisted of some over cooked steak and mushroom ravioli! But, regardless of the food I still had a really nice time just spending time with Josh (not that I don't see him enough haha) and his parents.

Anyways, that's all for this weekend recap! It was a great weekend spent with Josh and friends. Unfortunately, I don't have any of the pictures from Saturday night's party because they are all on my friend Alex's camera but, when I get them I'll be sure to share. There were some very creative Halloween costumes that night, and I think you guys would enjoy them.
